Tweed River Fest

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of playing the Tweed River Music Festival with Beg, Scream & Shout!. The festival was an overwhelming success, and I am proud to have been a part of it. For the past few years I’ve designed logos, t-shirts, websites, advertisements, schedules, passes, stickers and helped to create an online presence. Working with the Tweed team throughout the year, preparing for the festival and then playing at it was incredible. The bands and people involved in this festival are passionate, talented and some of the nicest people I know. It’s an honor to spend a weekend with you.

Jeremy, Bow, Jeff, Rob and Linsday, thank you for putting on such a great event. You guys are the best!

Evaporators (live recording)

Here’s a recording of a performance at The Dive Bar from July 2011. This recording features Dana Colley on saxophone, Duncan Arsenault on drums, Jeremy Curtis on bass, Brooks Milgate on Rhodes and Craig Rawding on vocals,effects. This is is the first time this lineup played together and the entire show is improvised. Special thanks to Andy Murray for recording this.

RIP Clarence

One of my musical heroes, Clarence Clemons passed away recently. Through an old friend I was contacted by the Clemons family and I had the incredibly opportunity to put together a brochure for the Big Man’s funeral service. The design was done quickly and in a style that the family requested. It was truly an honor to get to do this. His playing is like nobody else’s and there will never be another guy who can sound like he did. There are times that I still rewind the end of Thunder Road over and over again, just to hear the sax play out the song. Thankfully we have all these recordings that will live on.

Rest in peace Big Man.

Sessions with James Keyes

I recently wrapped up some drum sessions with James Keyes at Tremolo Lounge. Recording went smooth and I think we got some good tracks. I am anxious to hear the finished product. Jim Carroll 8/1/1949 – 9/11/2009

I had the pleasure of playing drums with Jim Carroll a handful of times. Along with Roger and Ron from The Curtain Society and Scott Ricciuti from HUCK, we spent time with Jim, learning his songs and playing with him for some shows around 2005. Jim was an incredible guy to be around and the best storyteller I have ever met. It was an honor to have spent time with him and made some noise with him.
